Château Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Médoc, 2009

SGD 129.00

The Sociando-Mallet 2009 is a wonderfully racy and vibrant Haut-Médoc.

The colour is very dark and deep purple and the nose is complex, offering small black fruit mixed with new oak notes linked to the ageing, but perfectly integrated.

On the palate, the wine has a superb, creamy texture with balanced and silky tannins, all of which combine to deliver an elegant density. The palate then reveals black fruits (blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant) and a touch of minerality whilst the finish is long, persistent and luxurious. There is a real ‘sun-drenched’ ripeness and voluptuous nature to this wine and it’s drinking perfectly now but will still reward with careful cellaring
