The superb 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru from Domaine Berthelemot serves up some very attractive scents of walnut and smoke, yellow flowers and linseed oil.
There is an almost Riesling-like element to this Chassagne making for an extremely interesting experience. The palate is perfectly balanced with mouthwatering pineapple, nectarine, clementines and a little ginger stem, mixed with a pinch of white pepper towards the finish.
There is a fabulous energy about this wine, and whilst its not one for long term cellaring, it is drinking beautifully now
