In June 1993, Alfredo Buglioni purchased an old farmhouse surrounded by 3.89 hectares (9.6 acres) of vineyards and 2 hectares (4.9 acres) of olive groves in Valpolicella Classico, northwest of Verona, Italy and with a vision and passion, the Buglioni family soon became “real” winemakers
In 2000, Diego Bertoni from the Oenology Institute of San Michele all’Adige became the winery’s enologist and Buglioni’s Valpolicella wine production extended to 46 hectares of incredible vineyards planted directly with the traditional indigenous varietals of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara, and the recent planting of Oseleta, Croatina and the white varietal Garganega. To mark this speical place, and the special Valpolicella that emanates from here, the Sommeliers of PIVENE have curated a beautiful bundle of 6 signature Valpolicella ‘Imperfetto’ that are a delight to drink, and truly reflect the spirit of Buglioni
With notes of ripe red fruit this sumptuous Valpolicella enriches and fills the mouth perfectly. Deep ruby red in colour, there is a distinct and elegant aroma of black cherry, with scents of spices and vanilla. Perfectly round in the mouth this is both velvety and harmonic.
