Artuke, Pies Negros, 2019

SGD 49.00
sold out

Artuke Pies Negros is a blend of Tempranillo (90%) and Graciano (10%).

The harvest is done manually and the grapes are picked in the winery on a selection table. The grapes are de-stemmed and trodden with bare feet. From this derives the name of this wine. The wine undergoes daily pumping and is then macerated for about 3 or 4 days. This process occurs in stainless steel.

The wine finally undergoes a period of ageing between 12 and 14 months in French oak barrels (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels of one or two years

On the nose there are wonderful nice notes of plum and oak whilst the palate is driven by tastes of plum, tobacco, chocolate and pepper. Very very enjoyable!
