Alter Ego de Palmer, 2013
The second wine from the magnificent Chateau Palmer, this 2013 Alter Ego de Palmer is a real treat
Only 7,500 cases are ever produced and the wine is composed of 46% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot.
It reveals a touch more more acidity that its bigger brother but is is wonderfully lean, austere in character and shows a delightfully deep ruby, purple colour. The tannins and tart acids are beautifully balanced and prominent and whilst it is drinking perfect now, it will, with careful cellaring, reward over the next 3-6 years
